FIRST Robotics (RoboHawks)

This is a large team effort, and you will need to work with adult mentors and parent volunteers to construct a state of the art robot. The robots you build will compete in a game that changes every year (basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee are some of the more recent games). For more information, visit Usfirst.org or the Robohawks website.

VEX Robotics

In VEX-Robotics, a small group of students design and construct a medium-sized robot. Don't let the size fool you; it utilizes the latest in sensors and control systems. This program is student driven with mentors providing support when needed. The students design and build a robot for a game which changes every year. For more information, visit VEXRobotics.com.

NASCAR Student Racing Challenge

Students are challenged to optimize the performance of 1:10 scale R/C cars just like professional race teams. They form teams to compete and collaborate internally and against other schools/youth organizations across the country.

Team America Rocketry Challenge
Rocketry
Each team uses CAD to design and test a rocket virtually. The students then build and fly the rocket carrying 2 raw eggs. This year's challenge is to build a rocket that achieves a flight duration of 48-50 seconds, an altitude of 850 feet, and that returns with the eggs uncracked.

Bio-Engineering Competition

Work with other students and adult mentors to complete a Bio-Engineering project.

CyberPatriot

CyberPatriot is the premier national high school cyber defense competition. It was created by the Air Force Association to inspire high school students towards careers in cyber security or other science, technology, engineering, or mathematics disciplines critical to our nations future.
